The Bench is an episode of Kikoriki and is the first episode in the series (Despite Past Year's Tale being aired first.)

Episode Description[]

(3Beep) Two inseparable friends, Krash and Chiko, face a dilemma. In order to save their friend, Wally, Krash must sacrifice something that is very important to him.

(4Kids) Pogoriki has made a bench and painted it. While waiting for the painting to dry, he and Chikoriki try to find something to do with the rest of the paint.

Plot[]

Krash had long wanted to do something useful for his home and decided to make a bench. The bench is then ready. Krash admires the new bench, and then his neighbor Chiko comes to him. Krash does not immediately respond, but then tells Chiko that he worked on the bench for a long time and finally made a very beautiful bench. He still has some pink paint left, so Krash offers to paint Chiko's glasses pink, but since he doesn’t want to paint them pink, he says that Wally might need pink paint. They go to Wally. Wally is sad because he can't write poetry because he has no inspiration. The duo yell his name, but he tells Krash and Chiko not to shout, because his "poet mojo" is fragile, but Chiko doesn't think that the poem that just flew into his face doesn't have any. The poet says it isn't found in a paper, but is felt in their hearts. He then says that it feels like something heavy like a hippopotamus, but they don't really get the picture. Suddenly Wally notices the paint Krash used to paint his bench, and then approaches it with interest and quickly finds a use for it: the poet takes a brush and paints over almost all of his poems with anger. Krash accidentally gives Wally a poem idea, but since he pinkified all of his paper, he can only do it on the grass. which is what he did. However, while writing, he unknowingly climbs a tree. Upon realizing, he gets scared and can't come down because he has acrophobia, so Krash and Chiko get all the stuff they can to be tall enough to bring Wally down. The junk didn't let them to bring him down, then, they find Krash's bench, and uses it along with all the other junk. Wally's paintbrush drips paint on a cup, which begins crashing everything else down, saving Wally in the progress. The sky is now pink and Krash's bench is now broken, leaving him sad. But Wally says that he likes to think he's worth more than a bench, and Krash says that he can make as much benches as he wants. Chiko lets out a tear, and then looks at the pink sky. The clouds are pink as well, and he spots a pink hippo. He tells this to Krash and Wally, who are amazed.
